A: If your present hosting provider can no longer meet the requirements of your website, or if you go through regular downtime, or if you are made to wait for hours for the support staff to get back to you, it might be a good idea to switch your hosting provider, i.e. to migrate all the files for your web sites along with your databases from your present provider to your new provider. At Dragon Web Hosting, we understand that this can often be hard & time–consuming. That’s the reason why we’ll perform all that for you for free!Our seasoned technical staff members will migrate your website content from your present provider to us. Our techs have a lot of experience with website migration and are able to handle everything – from a normal WordPress weblog or Joomla^™ CMS–powered web site, to a very complex, custom–made app.

A: While we can’t give you an exact time frame, because there are a lot of variables, including the size of the web files and databases, the physical location of the current host’s server, the complexity of your web site and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll give our best to move your web site within 48h, and in certain cases – within 24h (if the website content is not very large).

A: We’ll require the login information for your current web hosting provider’s Control Panel along with the site’s name (domain name).

A: User privacy is truly one of our fundamental responsibilities – that’s why, both our payment page and our Control Panel login page are protected with enterprise–grade digital certificates. We use security measures, which include, but are not limited to: physical, digital and managerial operations to secure the info that we accumulate online. And we also have a detailed and strict Privacy Policy, which outlines the types of information that we collect.

A: No. Your web site will stay fully operational during the migration. Once everything is completed on our end, we’ll tell you so that you can preview it and check for problems. If everything’s alright, all you will have to do is update your domain name’s DNS settings.

A: While we migrate your web content, your hosting provider will not be aware of the migration at all. We will never get in touch with them in any way.

A: We can migrate your site from any hosting provider or any Linux–powered hosting platform as long as we can acquire access to the Control Panel and there is FTP access available.The only web sites that we are unable to transfer are those based on closed–source software apps like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square and Mr Site.
