Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Started in 2001, the .NAME top-level domain extension is the only one planned for personal websites only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. At first, just third-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to order john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased third-level domain names remained running.

Through our firm, you can purchase your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to change the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization code from the current domain registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no special stipulations on who can book a dot NAME domain name, but in order to keep the goal behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.
